Why Share Your Story

Research shows that storytelling isn't just helpful for listeners. It's transformative for the person sharing. When you put your experience into words, you're not just recounting events. You're making meaning, finding patterns, and integrating what happened into who you're becoming.
Even better, studies on narrative therapy and expressive writing show that sharing your story can reduce anxiety, improve mental clarity, and help you process complex emotions. It gives you agency over your narrative because you get to decide what to emphasize, what to let go of, and how to frame your experience.

For listeners, your story is equally powerful. It breaks isolation, validates experiences that feel impossible to explain, and shows people they're not alone.
What to Expect
With such a sensitive topic, I've developed a process that ensures your comfort and confidence while also making sure I have everything I need to produce a great episode.
It starts with an interest form. Once you submit it, I'll review your information and reach out if it seems like a good fit. From there, we'll jump on a brief prep call to go over logistics, answer any questions, and make sure you feel ready.

After the prep call, we'll schedule our recording session. It's an unscripted conversation using Riverside and typically lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes. We'll talk through your experience, and I'll ask follow-up questions based on what you share. The goal is for it to feel natural, like talking with someone who gets it.

Most importantly, you can change your mind at any point in the process. I want you to feel comfortable and confident every step of the way.
Common Questions
Do I need podcasting experience?
Not at all. All you need is a story and a willingness to share it.

I haven't shared my story before. Is this for me?
Your story matters. You don't need to have it all figured out or polished. In fact, the stories that are still in progress have just as much impact as those that are have retrospective lessons.

I wasn't their caregiver, but my best friend had a brain tumor. Can I be a guest?
Yes. If someone's brain tumor experience impacted your life, that's a story worth sharing.

Can I remain anonymous?
Yes. We can use a different name if that feels more comfortable.

What's the podcast about? What kinds of stories do you share?

Take the First Step
If this feels right, slap the button below to let me know you're interested. It takes about ten minutes and helps me understand your story and what you're hoping to share. Completing the form doesn't guarantee you'll be selected for an episode, but it's the entry point for everyone who joins the podcast.
